Brian Hamilton is the co-founder and head of product development at Sageworks. He is the original architect of an artificial intelligence technology platform used by thousands of financial institutions and accounting firms across North America, and he continues to lead product development at the company today. The original Sageworks technology converts financial statements into plain language narratives, reflecting Hamilton's professional mission - to demystify complex financial information for business owners, financial professionals, academics and the general public. Through articles, interviews, discussions and presentations, Hamilton regularly works with the media, bringing clarity and expertise to topics ranging from the health of private companies, to the financial strength of high profile initial public offerings, as well as issues burdening entrepreneurs.
Brian is also the founder of Inmates to Entrepreneurs, a community outreach organization focused on teaching ex-offenders to start low capital businesses. He holds an MBA from Duke University and a bachelor's degree from Sacred Heart University, where he graduated summa cum laude.
Aaron Lenhart is the director of consulting for Sageworks, where he serves as a specialist in assisting financial institutions with accurately interpreting and applying federal accounting guidance. Aaron's primary focus is the allowance for loan and lease loss provisions (ALLL). He also assists institutions with purchased loan accounting, portfolio stress testing, and management and board reporting.
Prior to joining Sageworks, Aaron served as a consultant for Wellington Financial Group. Aaron earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia and his MBA from UNC's Kenan-Flagler Business School.
Kevin Abbas is an analyst with Sageworks, where he also serves as a product manager. Prior to joining Sageworks, Kevin, a CPA, worked as an audit associate for KPMG. Currently, Kevin’s primary focus is working with the company’s Allowance for Loan and Lease Losses (ALLL) solution for financial institutions. In addition, Kevin works as an analyst leveraging his accounting knowledge in order to accurately interpret Sageworks’ proprietary financial data. Kevin graduated magna cum laude from Saint John’s University.
Libby Bierman is an analyst at Sageworks, where she is responsible for analyzing trends in the financial data collected from private companies as well as the development of new products for enterprise clients. Before joining Sageworks in 2010, Libby worked for The Fund for American Studies (TFAS), a nonprofit organization bridging public policy with business education. Prior to TFAS, she held a London-based public affairs position. She graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame.
Peter Brown is a senior consultant at Sageworks, where he also serves as an analyst. He brings experience in technology, business and financial services into his role. Graduating with a computer science degree from West Point, Peter successfully navigated the challenges of running a small business in a competitive marketplace before working in financial services at Fidelity Investments. At Sageworks, he uses his unique background to provide advisory services to Sageworks’ largest clients.
Robert Ashbaugh is a senior risk management consultant at Sageworks and is responsible for assisting financial institutions with their risk management needs. Rob has more than twenty years of capital markets and commercial banking experience as both a portfolio manager and risk manager, with a primary focus on mortgage-backed securities, whole loan portfolios and commercial lending. Among his responsibilities were monthly ALLL calculations, institutional and concentration stress testing and risk analytics. He is a past holder of the Series 7, 52 and 63 licenses and has received formal credit training. Rob received his bachelor's degree in both economics and international business from Temple University.
Tim McPeak is an executive risk management consultant at Sageworks, where he advises on risk and portfolio management with financial institutions nationwide. Previous to his current position, Tim led Sageworks’ strategic partnership program, through which the company partners with consulting, loan review, accounting, and other professional services firms.
Before joining Sageworks in 2011, Tim spent several years as an associate with investment banking firm Babcock & Brown, focusing on commercial real estate and infrastructure finance. Tim began his career in retail and business banking with Key Bank of New York. He received his bachelor’s degree from Wake Forest University.
James Noe is an analyst at Sageworks, where he is responsible for developing new solutions for enterprise clients and administering the Sageworks private company database. Prior to joining Sageworks, James was a research assistant at a Seoul-based investment bank, specializing in semiconductor stocks. He graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree from the University of Connecticut and is a CFA Level 2 candidate.
Jenna Weaver is an analyst at Sageworks, where she also serves as a senior product manager, leading the development of the Allowance for Loan and Lease Losses solution for financial institutions. In addition to her product development work in both the accounting and financial institution divisions of Sageworks, Jenna has also served as a credit analyst for Red Hat, Inc. Her work at Red Hat focused on minimizing credit risk for the company, facilitating customer relationships and accounts receivable payments and handling bankruptcy claims. Jenna is a summa cum laude graduate of Clemson University.
