The two decorative artists of SAGEWORKS DECORATIVE PAINTING have over 50 years experience in painting and design who transform your home into a more inviting and comfortable atmosphere . Specializing in elegant custom wall finishes, Venetian and fresco secco plaster, and artwork such as; original Italian frescoes, murals, children's room concepts, and hand painted furniture. Sageworks’ founder, Lauri, is now a Florida resident, having grown up in Texas and beginning her artistic career at the early age of three. She continued drawing and painting earning a BFA from the University of Texas at Austin with a concentration in painting and lithography. After graduation Lauri worked at the Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth, Texas along with showing her work at local galleries. She received a scholarship and obtained her Master of Fine Arts studies in Florence, Italy from the University of Syracuse.

Living and studying in Florence, Italy she immersed herself in the culture, landscape, and architecture as well as the art of the great Renaissance Masters. These influences inspired her interest in "Old World Frescoes" and decorative painting. After returning to America she had professional experience in interior design, retail store design, and visual merchandising before founding Sageworks decorative artists. She has been commissioned by architects, designers, and independent clients for a variety of projects and has worked in elegant homes and estates from coast to coast. Children's environment rooms she designed and painted have recently been featured in the book "New KidsSpace Idea Book" by  Wendy A. Jordan, published by Taunton.

Ron, the other Sageworks artist, grew up and attended college in south Florida. Ron began selling his paintings when seventeen, and painted his first wall mural in 1967. He was the art director for several music festivals in south Florida before founding a firm in the fashion design business. His design successes led to numerous fashion shows in New York City, articles in fashion magazines and Women’s Wear Daily, and a move to New England. Many of his innovative fashion designs are still imitated today.

His interest in painting grew and he was fortunate to have studied under the accomplished and renowned Massachusetts watercolor artist, Steven Hamilton. Ron also became the director and CEO of a chain of successful innovative furniture design stores in Scandinavia, where he maintained a residence for decades, and where he also had exhibitions of his watercolor paintings specializing in Scandinavian landscapes and culture. Returning to Florida some years ago Ron joined Lauri and Sageworks.

These two decorative artists have been painting on projects from Texas to Florida.
